2ND’S SQUANDER CHANCES

Contrasting fortunes in the 2 semi matches at Vikings Field last Sunday – with two different results – one great the other disappointing for the Mallee Bulls.

The 2nds started all over the Camden Rams but failed to convert their dominance into points in the 1^st half. The Rams tackled well keeping the brave Uni lads scoreless in the 1^st stanza. Then the Rams gradually got on top and despite a stronger 2^nd half the 2nds season is over.

In contrast the powerful Shamrocks scrum smashed the Uni scrum in the first half to build a 14 – 3 lead. But the Mallee Bulls gradually got back into the game and scored 5 great tries to finish all over the Rocks.

1^st grade:  Uni 36 – Shamrocks 27. Dean Rossit, Josh Hewett, Leon Mason, Matt Lee & Ash Mason tries, Donny Nepia 4 conversions & penalty

2^nd grade: Uni 7 – Camden 18. Killer Grennell try, Geoff Devitt conversion.
