Round 20 Vs Tech 27th August 2011

BATTLE FOR THE BRIDGE LOST

2NDS & 3RDS CRUSH TECH-WARATAHS

Alas Tech-Waratahs were too good for the Mallee Bulls 1sts on Saturday in the second of the Battles for the Bridge so the overall tally is 2-0 to the evil east of the Bridge across the expressway. The scores were close all day with Uni well on attack just outside of the oppositions try line when full time was called and 7 point deficit to the Mallee Bulls. To be fair Donny Nepia’s boot kept us in the contest and we tackled like demons as Tech had all the ball, but Tech scored 4 tries to one.

The 2nds and 3rds easily beat their opposition. 2nds to stride into the semi’s after 4 consecutive wins and loads of confidence for next Saturdays clash with the Rams. 3rds on the other hand will ponder what might have been as they missed the semi’s by a point. Oh if only they had not squandered such big leads vs Camden and tech in the first round?
