2NDS TWO GOOD WINS

3RDS FALL SHORT OF SEMI’S

What a hectic couple of weeks it has been for the Mallee Bulls train hurtling down the tracks towards the IDRU Final Series.

The 1sts are on a roll with a number of victories (and a hic cup against the Wombats). They were sluggish against the Kiama Cows in the first stanza (down 13 – 14 at the break) but overran the Cows in the 2^nd half to score a comprehensive win. It was all too much for the Engadine Lions to play on the Sunday – a forfeit meant 10 comp points secured over the weekend.

The 2nds had two great wins during the week – a tough 10 – 0 triumph over the Vincentia Van Goghs on the Thursday night under lights then a comprehensive demolishing of the Cows on Saturday.

The 3rsd were overwhelmed by a very physical Engadine Lions last Thursdays but bounced back with a sound win on Saturday over the Cows. But als the semi’s are just out of reach and they will have to be content with a season that got away. A quick look at the points table shows Uni 3rds as securing the most bonus points in 3rds – a lot of close losses and some thumping wins.
